Activities
As part of Rochester Catholic Schools, St. Francis of Assisi School believes in a “whole child” educational philosophy, providing students with extracurricular activities to explore and expand their God-given spiritual gifts and talents. By making available a vast array of extracurricular activities, St. Francis of Assisi School students discover the many facets of their spiritual, emotional, and physical composition that support the development of a well-rounded student and a “whole child” of God’s creation. As students participate in these extracurricular activities, many positive results are observed:
- Real life skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and creativity are learned and practiced
- Self-confidence in one’s unique set of abilities and talents is discovered
- Interpersonal relationships are developed and social skills are fostered
- Community spirit is nurtured
