St. Francis of Assisi School is part of Rochester Catholic Schools, a unified Catholic school system that has been serving the Rochester, Minnesota community since 1877.

Location
Located in the southeast quadrant of the city, St. Francis of Assisi School provides a superior educational experience for students in preschool through grade 8 while also serving an integral role in the teaching mission of the Catholic Church.

Activities
Rochester Catholic Schools believes in a “whole child” educational philosophy, providing students with extracurricular activities to explore and expand their God-given spiritual gifts and talents.

Preschool
The Nest is the preschool and early childhood program for the RCS System. A collaborative approach, located within the three elementary schools, the Nest is designed to inspire creative play and develop age-appropriate learning opportunities.

As part of the Rochester Catholic Schools family, you are part of a learning community that is passionate about supporting the whole child of God in all aspects of life - mind, body, and spirit. Through RCS Student Support Services, professional and compassionate care is offered to counsel, guide, direct, and protect.
Admissions
Rochester Catholic Schools is currently applying in-person, hybrid, and distance learning models as appropriate, with the commitment to providing the safest and best learning experience at each of the five schools within our system. We are available to connect with you in several ways to share more about our schools serving preschool-grade 12. SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI BELIEF STATEMENT

We believe Saint Francis of Assisi School to be a Catholic community of believers educating every child to model Christ. We recognize our school as integral to the educational mission of the church. Working in relationship with parents, students, parish and greater community, we offer quality Catholic education for all students regardless of economic status, ethnic origin, or religious affiliation. We understand our responsibility to live the Franciscan values in order to give witness to our faith, to promote peace and justice, to nurture community within our school, and to achieve academic excellence. Through worship, gospel message, service, and Catholic values, we share the presence of Jesus with one another and strive to reveal the Christian message by knowing God, loving God, and serving God. We commit ourselves to the holistic development of each child as a unique individual in order that each person may become a caring, contributing member in today’s society, aspiring for union with God in heaven.
