RCS Preschool Summer Care will be available to families Thursday, June 6, 2024 through Friday, July 26, 2024. We are closed July 1-5. RCS Summer Care offers three and five days-a-week schedules at St. Francis of Assisi School. 

Students must be rising preschool or pre-kindergarten students or 33 months (as of June 1, 2024) - 5 years (as of September 1, 2024). Students must be toilet trained.

Rates
Our rates include the cost of field trips, breakfast, snacks, and lunch.

• 2024: Rising Preschool & Pre-Kindergarteners*:

  • Tuition rate for June 6 and 7 - $100
  • Tuition rate for three days/week enrollment - $225
  • Tuition rate for five days/week enrollment - $275

The RCS Summer Care Program is excited to partner with Taher (a contract food service management company) to provide nutritious meals and snacks throughout the summer.

Taher's approach to nutrition: "Our approach is chef-based, which means everything we do revolves around our chefs’ passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients, meals cooked from scratch, and globally inspired recipes." Additionally, Taher's licensed dietitians "stay current on advancements in nutritional knowledge" and work to incorporate initiatives (such as increasing whole grains and completely phasing out all trans fats) into their menus.

Taher's emphasis on health pairs well with the RCS Guiding Principle to "grow together in mind, body, and spirit." In order to nourish the mind and spirit, the body must be nourished as well!

• Offer prayer of thanks and praise before "breaking bread" together
• Offer prayer of thanks after the enjoyment of "good food and good company"

Blackbaud Registration and Forms
Your RCS Portal is the location to register for summer care. We have built the summer care handbook, health forms, and tuition agreement information into your registration form.

Health and Immunization Forms
Parents are required to submit an immunization form prior to their child’s attendance of the first program session. This form must be signed by a parent, physician, or public health clinic, and must be kept up-to-date. Medical or legal exemptions to the immunization requirements must be submitted prior to entrance.

The signature of a physician or public clinic is required on the immunization form if the child has not received all of the immunizations required by law for child care. A signature from a physician will also be required if the child has not had the Chickenpox Vaccine (Varicella), but has had Chickenpox.

Rochester Catholic Schools Summer Care uses Procare for billing, scheduling and additional account information. Payments are made weekly in advance through Procare.

At the end of Summer Care, dependent care receipts will be issued to families.
