| July 20 | Awesome Art | Mrs. Laurie Keller, Teacher | Awesome Art is an enrichment camp focusing on projects created in the styles of various artists. It includes different media forms including cray pas, sharpies, colored pencils, liquid watercolor, salt, and tempera to create original artistic creations. Color value, sculpting, optical illusions, and perspective will be explored. All activities will be different from the prior Awesome Art camp experiences. | July 20 | Sensational Science | Mrs. Laurie Keller, Teacher | This STEM inspired science enrichment camp will focus on the concepts of changing seasons, constellations, animal behavior, earthquake destruction, rockets, chemical reactions, and experimentation using the scientific method. Perhaps you would like to be a wild reader but need some encouragement. Maybe you are a parent and would like your child to do more summer reading. This will run for six weeks this summer. Each session lasts an hour. The sessions will include comprehension activities, group discussions, and interactive tasks, but the overall focus is simply a love of books! Prior to the first session, Ms. Erickson will send out a list of the books they will read as well as the first reading assignment. Students must provide their own books. |
