Learning Center

A misconception is that the Learning Center is only for those who have learning challenges or on a special educational plan. The Lourdes High School Learning Center support all the students that need some kind of academic assistance.

The learning environment is quiet and very focused; it is not a space for personal conversations. Attendance is required for those students that have been identified as needing specialized assistance. However, all students are welcomed to stop into the center throughout the day.

First Semester:

7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; currently closed mod 11 everyday and mod 12 on Tuesdays
Second Semester:

7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m; closed mods 11 and 12 everyday to alleviate the confusion due to lunch meetings

  The Learning Center is staffed by two full-time licensed teachers. Mr. Matt Klebe (mklebe@rcsmn.org) who focuses on the language arts, social studies and religion and Ms. Angela Weiss (aweiss@rcsmn.org), who assists students in math and science.

• For students who need more regular help or guidance, we schedule appointments in the Learning Center
• Students who are scheduled during that time have first priority for any mod throughout the day
• “Walk-ins” are welcome to the Learning Center if there is space

• Talk to the Learning Center staff ASAP to cancel or reschedule an “as needed” appointment
• To be removed from regularly scheduled appointments, contact the guidance department

We do not limit the access to the Learning Center.

We provide a bank of 6 computers. Many students use their own device.
