Horatio Alger National State and National Scholarships varies 10/25/19 Click here Open to seniors who will be enrolled in a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the US. The applicant must also be demonstrate critical financial need by being eligible for a Federal Pell Grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA.
AES Engineering Scholarship $500 10/6/18 Click here Award is open to all students regardless of major. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character as determined by the submitted essay.

This scholarship fund was created to provide support for students with a desire to enter an aviation career. Students can be high school seniors, college freshman or sophomores, from Southeast Minnesota counties. Minimum GPA is 2.5. Students must be entering or engaged in an aviation-related degree program at an accredited college, university, or technical college.
Ron Brown Scholar Program $40,000 ($10,000 per year for 4 years) 11/1/18 (early deadline) and 1/9/19 Click here Open to African American high school seniors who excel academically, are involved in community activities, and have demonstrated financial need.

Exchange Club Scholarship - A.C.E. $1,000 3/22/19 Click here


Accepting the Challenge of Excellence (A.C.E) Scholarship will be awarded to one student from Rochester who has overcome a physical, emotional, or social obstacles in order to graduate. The Rochester winner will advance to a district scholarship competition. Applications should be turned in to the Guidance Office by 3/21/19. They will be picked up by an Exchange Club representative on 4/1/19, which is the first day back from spring break.
Exchange Club Scholarship $1,000 3/22/19 Click here Open to seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher who have a financial need. The student should be involved in the community, church, or other civic organization. We must have a minimum of 3 applicants from Lourdes for the award to go to a Lourdes student. Applications should be turned in to the Guidance Office by 3/21/19. They will be picked up by an Exchange Club representative on 4/1/19, which is the first day back from spring break.

Applicants write an essay on the topic "How is your Religious Education Influencing your Life?". 750 word maximum. Only one applicant per school may be forwarded for consideration. Essay selected by LHS must be received by Fireside Catholic Publishing by 12/9/19.

Fraternal Order of Eagles #2228 Aerie and Women's Auxiliary Scholarship varies 4/1/19 Click here Open to seniors who are rated in the top 50% of their class.
History Scholar Award (RCWRT and Hosier Memorial Foundation) $750 4/6/2019 Click here Open to seniors planning to start college in the fall of 2019 who have a demonstrated interest in history. A history major is not required. Please see attachment for requirements about the required 2-page narrative and letters of recommendation.
Hy-Vee Foundation Scholarship $1,000 2/8/19 Click here Applicant must be a high-school senior who began working for Hy-Vee on or before 9/15/18 or child of a Hy-Vee employee who has at least 6 months of employment.
The Kaplan Group Annual Scholarship $1,000 8/12/2018 Click here Open to students with a minimum 2.5 GPA studying a business-related field (see website for acceptable majors). Applicants must submit an essay.
Katharine Kilbourne Memorial Scholarship $1,500 3/11/19 Click here This memorial scholarship fund was created to provide financial aid to first generation college students who demonstrate financial need and strong academic performance. Students must be high school seniors, poised to be first generation college students, and live in the city of Rochester. There is a preference for those looking to give back through a career in education.
Kiwanis Educational Foundation Scholarship $795 1/15/2020 Click here

A maximum of 3 students (seniors) from Lourdes can submit applications to Kiwanis Education Foundation. Please bring your completed application to the Guidance Office no later than January 15th. A letter of recommendation from a staff member is required. Applications received by the 15th will be reviewed, and 3 will be selected to be sent to Kiwanis by their 1/24/19 deadline.

Applicants must complete an application form and submit it along with a written essay discussing this year’s topic: The Sense of the Census: Rural Representation at Risk. What policies can be adopted that will encourage economic development in rural communities ensuring robust representation at all levels of government? More information available on the MAT website.

Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine Scholarship $2,500 5/1/2018 Click here Two scholarships are available and will be awarded to one male and one female graduating high school student athlete who intend to pursue a professional career in sports medicine. Student must have been involved in an interscholastic sport for each of their 4 years in high school and must intend to major in a field related to sports medicine.

Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers - MATHCOUNTS Scholarship $1,000 4/2/2019 Click here Must be a graduating high school senior, enrolling in an accredited engineering program or a bachelor’s degree in science or mathematics. Applicant must have competed in a MATHCOUNTS chapter competition as a team member, a team member alternate or an individual competitor.

Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers - STEM Scholarship

$1,000 4/2/2019 Click here Graduating high school senior or an existing college student, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM).

Minnesota Women's Golf Association Scholarship varies 3/31/18 Click here Applicant must be a senior girl who has a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, demonstrated financial need (FAFSA form), and demonstrated involvement in a sport, which does not have to be golf.
Minnesota Women in Public Finance Scholarship varies 5/31/19 (must be received by midnight) Click here Open to female, college-bound high school juniors or seniors who have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. The applicant should have leadership skills and an interest in pursuing a public finance related career in finance, government, nonprofits, banking, or law.
NWAIC Undergraduate Scholarship $1,000 5/1/19 Click here Open to female senior students who plan to enroll in a full-time construction-related degree program at a school in the US. Minimum GPA to apply is 2.5.

Rochester Area Builders, Inc. Scholarship $500 or $1000 5/4/2018 Click here Open to high school seniors who have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA and who are accepted to a post secondary program in a construction-related field including technical school, trade school, apprenticeship, or college.

WACE National Co-op Scholarship Program varies 2/15/19 (earlier date for some schools) Click here Open to high school seniors who have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and are applying to one or more of the WACE Partner Institutions. Each institution may have additional criteria.
Wisconsin Alumni Association, Rochester Chapter Scholarship $1000 or $1500 4/13/2018 Click here Open to graduating seniors who have been accepted to and have committed to enroll at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or better and have demonstrated extracurricular involvement and financial need. Internal deadline is 4/13/2018.
Vallely Will Fund varies Internal deadline 1/14/19 , submission deadline 2/1/19 Click here Only one candidate from Lourdes may apply for this scholarship. Please submit your essay to the Guidance Office by 1/14/19 if you are interested so a student can be selected to complete the application by the 2/1 deadline. A personal essay and a teacher letter of recommendation is required as part of the application.
