Rochester Catholic Schools honors 25 employees that reached milestone years of service!
Students in LHS Business Foundations 1 class participated in a project-based learning initiative in which they managed the Lourdes High School concession stand for the girls and boys basketball season. Students applied skills learned in the classroom to a real-world, hands-on experience!

Lourdes High School One Act Play STARS at the HVL Festival on Saturday January 20, 2018 at Triton High School in Dodge Center, MN. Two students Tim Techentin and Anna Nation win All Conference awards. Congrats to all the LHS One Act Play cast and crew.

The Lourdes debate team competed at the section tournament this weekend, where the four varsity competitors scored the highest in the team's history. Claire Creighton, Jack Stanley, Chris Kane, and Pavao Veldic strongly represented Lourdes, walking away with a 10-6 record between the two teams.
Our mission calls us to grow together in mind, body, and spirit. As such, please witness our mission in action through this Mission Moment video which features two of our Girls Kairos 25 leaders. They are a great example of two students who gave, and continue to give, of themselves.
In order to provide more authentic, inquiry-based, and hands-on learning opportunities, LHS is converting an art room and the computer resource room into a STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and mathematics) lab.

The LHS Band, Choir, Center Street Singers and Hi-Lighters performed an outstanding show on Monday evening, December 18th in the LHS Auditorium! The Band played scenes from the Nutcracker and the Choir performed a variety of Advent and Christmas music including worldly pieces from England and the Dominican Republic.
Seth's Journey made a beautiful stop at Rochester Lourdes High School. The high school is doing Penny Wars right now in honor of Seth and all of Rochester Catholic Schools will begin collecting pop tabs in an effort to raise awareness for the needs of the Ronald McDonald House of Rochester, Minnesota, Inc.
LHS Hi-Lighters and Center Street Singers performed a beautiful concert at Pax Christi Catholic Church.
Students, staff and guests celebrated the beginning of Advent with our annual Advent Program on Monday, December 4th. Guests enjoyed singing, treats, prayer and an outdoor lighting ceremony.
"The senior girls embarked on the 25th annual Kairos retreat on Monday, November 13th. Kairos means "God's time." The girls of the senior class spent four days at Dunrovin Retreat Center in St. Croix, Minnesota. They spent this time learning about themselves, their peers, and God's friendship...Being able to attend Kairos and step into God's time is truly a blessing! - Ella Daniels, 12th grade

The LHS Student Council had a busy weekend serving others! They provided dinner for the Hope Lodge on Friday evening and on Saturday they made cookies for Bear Creek Services!
Congratulations to Sophie Boes & Sarah Crowley who competed the weekend of November 11th in Edina and AGAIN won the entire novice tournament and placed 1st and 2nd again in individual speaker points. They walked away undefeated with a 5-0 record, meaning they are undefeated in 10 rounds of debate and have won tournaments two weekends in a row!
The LHS Football Team will play in the State Quarterfinal game against St. Croix Lutheran on Saturday, November 11 - 12:00 p.m. at Prior Lake High School. Advanced ticket sales are available at the Lourdes High School Activities Office from 7:30-3:00 p.m. November 8th and 9th.

Tom Sursely, local wood carving artist and Rochester native, recently visited a Lourdes High School sculpture class to demonstrate his craft. Mr Sursely has been carving various types of wood and subject matter for the past 30+ years.
It was such a pleasure to have him share his passion and give the students expert advice on materials, tools and techniques. The knowledge the students gained from this hands-on experience will be applied to their next sculpture project. A big thanks to Mr. Sursely from Ms. Severson and the LHS sculpture class. His kindness and generosity is very much appreciated.
On Wednesday, October 11th, the seniors gathered for a retreat at Pax Christi church. The focus of the day was the Franciscan charisms of peace, poverty and simplicity, and care for the marginalized.
Rochester Catholic Schools had a special half-time presentation for our fans at the Homecoming football game - our new Eagle logo was revealed for the first time!
Together, Rochester Catholic Schools raised $2,788.59 which will go to help Catholic schools rebuild, reopen and re-enroll students!
LHS sophomore girls gathered together for the Beauty Retreat at Assisi Heights. They spent time listening and experiencing the many ways that we are called to nurture our inner beauty amidst some of the demeaning voices of the culture.
Lourdes High School now features a new Sports Hall of Fame Wall to recognize individuals, teams, coaches and volunteers who have made exceptional contributions to the school’s various sports.

This past week officials from the National Merit Scholarship Programannounced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
This year's National Merit Semifinalists from Lourdes High School are David Bauer and Luke Nordman.
