"The senior girls embarked on the 25th annual Kairos retreat on Monday, November 13th. Kairos means "God's time." The girls of the senior class spent four days at Dunrovin Retreat Center in St. Croix, Minnesota. Tom Sursely, local wood carving artist and Rochester native, recently visited a Lourdes High School sculpture class to demonstrate his craft. Mr Sursely has been carving various types of wood and subject matter for the past 30+ years.
It was such a pleasure to have him share his passion and give the students expert advice on materials, tools and techniques. The knowledge the students gained from this hands-on experience will be applied to their next sculpture project. A big thanks to Mr. Sursely from Ms. Severson and the LHS sculpture class. His kindness and generosity is very much appreciated.
On Wednesday, October 11th, the seniors gathered for a retreat at Pax Christi church. The focus of the day was the Franciscan charisms of peace, poverty and simplicity, and care for the marginalized.
Rochester Catholic Schools had a special half-time presentation for our fans at the Homecoming football game - our new Eagle logo was revealed for the first time!

This past week officials from the National Merit Scholarship Programannounced the names of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
