Extracurriculars

Lego Robotics is an outreach activity of IBM that invites students to become involved in the programming of Lego Robotics. Using “Mindstorms” software and kits, Lego Robotics helps to promote science, technology, engineering, team work, presentation skills and math education in our school. The Lego Robotics Club meets weekly in the fall and competes locally against other Lego Robotics clubs in December.

Math Masters introduces students in grade 5 to higher level math concepts. This exceptionally challenging activity invites students to learn new ways of mathematical thinking and problem solving resulting in higher levels of math understanding and aptitude. Through an emphasis on problem solving, Math Masters seeks to apply real life settings to challenging mathematical concepts. Students in grade 6 compete in a competition that is held in March. Students in grade 5 participate in a competition that is held in April.

The Holy Spirit Science Fair will be held Thursday Jan 31, 2019 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. Students in grades 6-8 do NOT need to register online, as they are already signed up through their teacher. House Captains at Holy Spirit Catholic School serve the school and the community by organizing and participating in service projects, planning activities to cultivate school spirit, and modeling positive values-based behavior. Students serving as House Captains practice leadership, responsibility, and cooperation as they work to create a healthy and vibrant school environment where the servant leadership and a commitment to productive collaboration are evident. House Captains seek to model Christ as they witness their faith to others through their words and actions.
