Advent Activities at Holy Spirit

In order to continue to grow in the virtue of charity and prepare for Christmas, the students at Holy Spirit School will be showing God’s love to others through several service projects throughout Advent.  The entire school will be making cards to distribute to various organizations in Rochester such as Assisi Heights, Ronald McDonald House, nursing homes, etc.  The 4th and 5th graders will be making tie blankets to donate to Cy’s Place.  The fifth graders will also focus on the joy of giving of ourselves rather than receiving and will be practicing random acts of kindness throughout Advent.

All Saints Day!

In celebration of All Saints Day, the Third Graders from Holy Spirit learned about some of their favorite saints.  They marched into mass dressed as their saints and later shared with their Second Grade friends what they learned.  They discovered that All Saints day is a great day to celebrate and honor all the holy men and women.
