Welcome Mrs. Todora

Rochester Catholic Schools announces that after a national search, Mrs. Haidee (Heidi) Todora will be joining the RCS community as Director of Schools beginning June 1, 2018. The presented pool of  prospective candidates was strong. Finalists spent time with search committee members, campus principals, pastors, and the Central Office leadership team.

Mrs. Todora hails from St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Port Arthur, Texas, where she has served since 2007, leading as Principal since 2011. “It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I accept the position as Director of Rochester Catholic Schools. My mission is to teach and model our Catholic faith while mentoring and guiding our youth. I vow to work with parents and staff to guide children on the path to holiness and attain Heaven! I look forward to working with my new RCS family to develop the unique gifts of each and every child. I am truly honored and accepting of God’s plan for me in this next phase of my life,” said Mrs. Todora.

She has been involved with and completed the Catholic School Management’s Strategic Management and Development program, as well as served as the Chairperson for the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department accreditation team. Mrs. Todora holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology from Lamar University, as well as a Master Certification in Fitness and Human Performance from the University of Houston.

She is the recipient of the 2017 NCEA (National Catholic Education Association) Lead, Learn, Proclaim Award. Mrs. Todora’s most recent accomplishment is managing disaster recovery and reconstruction efforts for Hurricane Harvey, which devastated her school and community this past year. With a diverse and distinct background, Mrs. Todora brings a wealth of knowledge ranging from strategic planning, enrollment management, spiritual guidance, professional development, discipline and positive student intervention, and school curriculum. Devoted to the teachings of the Gospels, Mrs. Todora has been endorsed by the Church of St. Catherine of Siena as a valued and involved member in good-standing.

“We have every confidence that RCS will thrive under Mrs. Todora’s leadership and continue to live out our Christ-centered mission. In my coming to know Haidee, I could not help but be impressed by her love for the Catholic faith and emphasis on Catholic identity. I am excited to work with Mrs. Todora in her role as Director of Schools and ask everyone to keep her in their prayers,” said Father Peter Schuster, Co-Chair for the RCS Board of Trustees.
