Bishop Quinn Appoints Lay Member To RCS Board of Trustees
Last Fall, members of the Rochester Catholic Parishes and RCS community were invited to apply for a Lay Member term position on the Board of Trustees. The selection process was preceded by a current Skills and Gap Analysis Study to identify areas of expertise that complement and strengthen the diverse knowledge of the current board, as well as bring an astuteness and aptitude for strategic planning for the future of RCS. With Bishop Quinn’s approval for appointment, please join us in welcoming Mr. Laurence Eckel to serve on the RCS Board of Trustees. Mr. Eckel is a RCS parent and a long-time member St. John the Evangelist Church.
In July 2018, Mr. Eckel will replace Mr. Terry Painter, whose service term will be expiring on the board. With sincere appreciation and deep gratitude, the board commends Terry Painter for his years of service and successful contributions to the board. Mr. Painter will continue to serve as the Chair of the Policy Committee.
If you are interested in serving on the Board, Lay Member Applications will again be accepted this Fall to fill terms that will be expiring in 2019. To learn more about the Lay Member criteria and roles and responsibilities of the board, click here.
Thank you for your continued support of Rochester Catholic Schools.
