Activities - Fall Highlights

Lourdes High School athletic teams and individuals achieved many successes in the fall in Girls Tennis, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Cross Country, Football, and Clay Target Club. Activities of special note include Lego Robotics, Marching Band and one student selected for ACDA-MN State Honor Choir. 

Marching Band had a great season finishing with a State Championship at the US Bank Stadium. Congratulations on winning State back to back years!  

Girls Tennis team finished 3rd at the MSHSL State Tournament. This was the 23rd straight season that the team has qualified for state! Clare Palen and Natalie Allison won their second consecutive state title in Class A Doubles. Ryann Witter qualified for state as an individual. Natalie Allison was name Rotary Club Female Athlete of the Season.

Girls Soccer team made it to State, losing a heartbreaking game in the quarterfinals. Alyssa Ustby was named to the 2018 Wells Fargo All Tournament Team. Jade Einerston was 1st team All-State and Sarah Dravis was 2nd team All-State.

Boys Soccer team made it to the Section Finals, losing in overtime. Donovan Buss was 1st team All-State, and Colton Praska was 2nd team All-State.

Cross Country had a very good season with Margaret Degen and Lauryn Renier qualifying for the State Meet. Renier received All-State honors. Renier, Degen and Kevin Turlington received Academic All-State honors.

Football team brought home the State Championship! Julian Bretton was named Teammate of the Year. Ben Limburg was 1st team All-State, Matthew Sather was 2nd team All-State, and Pat Leary was 3rd team All-State. Leary was also named Rotary Club Male Fall Athlete of the Season.
Choir’s Bosco Jacobson was selected to the ACDA-MN State Honor Choir. Jacobson joined 119 other singers as part of the 9th/10th Grade Men's Honor Choir, performing at the Music Educators’ Conference in Minneapolis in February.

Clay Target Club ranked first of six schools in conference. Cody Morris ranked first of 50 students in the league, and a ranking of #11 of 3223 students statewide with a season average score of 24 (of 25).

Lego Robotics team consisting of Evan Leeser, Ethan Leeser and Heeyab Berhane finished 3rd in the Advanced Long Term competition at the 13th Annual IBM Lego Education Outreach competition at RCTC.
