Summer Sport Camps

Sports Performance Summer Camp, directed by Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Performance Specialist Karl Erickson, CSCS

Dates - Monday through Thursday beginning June 3rd until August 10th.  

No sessions during July 1st through July 5th during MSHSL's no contact week.

The focus of the Performance Camp will be on developing the elements of speed, agility, strength, and conditioning in each athlete. Exercise technique and safety will be stressed throughout the camp. Athletes can expect to develop and improve general athletic qualities that will improve sport performance while reducing the risk of injuries.

All RCS students in grades 7-12 are eligible to register. A medical physical is highly recommended.

Players will participate in a variety of drills to improve on all volleyball skills, including passing, setting, attacking, serving, digging, and blocking. All skill levels welcome!

This camp will focus on introducing the fundamentals of volleyball, using a low net and lighter ball as needed. Campers will participate in age-appropriate drills and games in a fun and positive environment. All skill levels welcome!

Registration for SDSU Camp is a two-step process: 

Step 1.  Register through LHS () - This is payment for additional expenses (first night stay and food) for the SDSU camp due to early arrival and transportation. Please use link above.

You must register on both sites to be fully eligible to attend.

Camp - July 22 - 26 - 8:00 - 11:00 am, July 28 is a rain day (If Necessary)


Camp will emphasize the following skills: footwork, dribbling, passing, ball moves, one-on-one situations, goalkeeping, field play, individual and team play, movement with and without the ball, offensive and defensive play, player roles on and off the field, goalkeeping and FUN!

Please bring the following: cleats, shin guards, long socks, white tee shirt, soccer shorts, full water bottle, and sunscreen. Remember to dress for the weather! Includes camp t-shirt.
