Marching Band

The Lourdes Marching Band is excited to begin their 2021 season! Their field show for this year is titled “Spanish Images” and features traditional Spanish music and art. Along with three musical selections titled Estancia, Spain, and Santana, the set for the show includes three custom murals painted by Lourdes Marching Band alum Anna Nation. These murals feature Picasso-inspired artwork that helps further evoke the theme of traditional Spanish culture.

After a season in which the band was not able to participate in competitions, they are looking forward to returning to a competitive season. The band will be traveling to five different competitions over the course of the next two months. These competitions are not only a great chance to showcase their hard work against other schools, but provide an enriching experience to see other groups in action and grow as musical performers.

The band is led by drum majors Isaac Barton and Keegan Jones, who have played an essential role in providing strong student leadership to the group in rehearsals and performances. They would like to thank some fantastic parent and community volunteers that have helped make this season possible. The marching band is excited to showcase their hard work at football games and competitions in the near future!
