EIGHTH GRADERS LOOK AHEAD
More than 100 eighth grade students from Rochester Catholic Schools and other area schools received a warm welcome by Student Ambassadors at Lourdes High School during "Breakfast With the Eagles" on January 24. This event provided eighth graders with the opportunity to become familiar with a day at Lourdes and ask questions first-hand to current high school students.

COLLEGE GRADS VISIT LOURDES
College Knowledge Week occurred in the fall to give Lourdes High School students the opportunity to hear about college life. Activities included visits by college recruiters and a handful of recent college graduates who shared information regarding their higher education background. DIFFERENCE MAKERS HONORED
Rochester Catholic Schools and Lourdes Foundation honored several alumni, volunteers and community members at the annual RCS Catholic Schools Week Celebration event attended by more than 125 people on February 1 at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Rochester. SERVANT LEADERS AMONG STUDENTS
The 2019 Red Lake Food Drive is in full swing, serving as a way for RCS students to better the lives of children and families on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota. RCS families from elementary through high school brought in groceries bags filled with canned and dry goods throughout Catholic Schools Week, resulting in seven pallets of food to be delivered to Red Lake.

STAFF DEVOTE DAY OF SERVICE
Faculty and staff of Rochester Catholic Schools spent the day outside of their classrooms and school buildings to help others throughout the community during the RCS Day of Service on February 18.

STUDENTS INSPIRED BY PILGRIMAGE
Ten Lourdes High School students and two faculty embarked on an eight-day pilgrimage beginning in Assisi, Italy, on December 27. The group visited places influential in the lifetime conversions of St. Francis and St. Clare and important to the development of the Franciscan tradition. They also traveled to Rome to visit the Vatican and other important sites of Franciscan experience.

YEARS OF SERVICE CELEBRATED
Rochester Catholic Schools hosted its annual Employee Recognition Day on January 18 to celebrate more than 30 dedicated faculty and staff who have reached milestone anniversaries of employment.

Lourdes High School is excited to announce the newly-established Alumni Speaker Series! Lourdes alumni are invited to return to the nest and share their experiences after graduation with current students during convocation. Alumni of all ages and career paths are invited to participate!

ACTIVITIES - FALL HIGHLIGHTS
Lourdes High School athletic teams and individuals achieved many successes in the fall in Girls Tennis, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Cross Country, Football, and Clay Target Club. Activities of special note include Lego Robotics, Marching Band and one student selected for ACDA-MN State Honor Choir.

LENTEN FISH FRY
Order tickets now for the 14th Annual Gary Vanselow Memorial Fish Fry hosted by Rochester Catholic Schools on March 8, 2019, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the International Event Center. All proceeds go to the Vanselow Scholarships established through Lourdes Foundation to help students in financial need receive a faith-based education at RCS.

Join us in the heart of downtown for "Cirque in the City" at the brand-new Hilton on Friday, April 26, 2019. You'll enjoy this cocktail party atmosphere while sampling cuisine from the many unique food bars and stations.
Plan ahead and purchase a table with your family and friends, or come mingle and enjoy an open seating option. Proceeds from this event will go toward Lourdes High School. This event is open to all who have an interest or passion to contribute toward faith based education. All are welcome!

Come hear Superbowl Champion and former MN Viking Matt Birk discuss Faith & Football on March 19 at 7 p.m. in the LHS Auditorium. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 cash or check only at the door. All proceeds benefit the RCS Athletic Department.
