Because of our days off from school this week, our book fair at St. Pius has been extended into next week. All K-4 classes will have time on Tuesday to shop at the book fair, and students are allowed to bring money to school. This will be the last chance to shop before the book fair gets packed up. Thank you!

The NEW rescheduled 5-8 Band Concert date will be Monday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium at Lourdes.  6th grade band will report to LHS for a 4:15-5:15 rehearsal, be dismissed and the report back to the LHS choir room for a 6:40 report time.  The 5th grade band will report to LHS for a 5:30-6:30 rehearsal and will be at LHS until after the concert.  The JH will report to the LHS band room at 6:30 (no later than 6:40) to warm-up and tune for the concert.

All are invited to attend the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast to raise funds for The Graham and Meredith Rooke Memorial Scholarship. The breakfast will be held on Sunday, February 17th at the Church of the Resurrection after all Mass times (8:30 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.)

The Graham and Meredith Rooke Scholarship supports Rochester Catholic Schools families in grades K-8 who demonstrate a financial need because of an unexpected change in a family's life circumstances. The scholarship was established in 1998 following the tragic car accident that claimed the lives of two students. Despite their short lives, their impact on those who knew them was remarkable.

This past week your students were informed about the Red Lake Food Drive.  We are looking donations such as non perishable foods, essential household items and hygiene products. The donations are going to a local food shelf on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota.  The reservation struggles with poverty, health problems and other social issues.

Please send any donation to school by Wednesday 01/30/2019.

Mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Gary Vanselow Memorial Fish Fry hosted by Rochester Catholic Schools on the first Friday of Lent, March 8, 2019, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the International Event Center. Bring your family and friends to this community-wide event featuring a delicious cod dinner, exciting raffles, live music, and children's activities. All proceeds go to the Vanselow Scholarships established through Lourdes Foundation to help students in financial need receive a faith-based education at RCS.

Parent of 8th Graders, are you aware of 8-9th Grade Loyalty Grant?

This grant will be offered to currnet RCS 8th grade families whose students will be enrolling in 9th grade at Lourdes High School.

The grant is awarded in the following way:
Freshman Year: $1,000 tuition reduction per student
Sophomore Year: $500 tuition reduction per student

This week you should have received 2019-2020 re-enrollment packet.

We are asking you to confirm your child(ren)’s enrollment for next year. Please note there is an important change in this year’s Re-enrollment Process - all families are asked to return the Rochester Catholic Schools Family Data Form enclosed in the Re-enrollment Packet to help provide more efficiency to the system and the most accurate projection for the 2019-2020 school year.

If everything is accurate, please sign and return in the enclosed envelope. If information needs updating, including adding additional children, please make changes directly on the form, sign, and return in the enclosed envelope.

Boys Hockey vs. Mankato West - February 11.

There will be no practice for Grades 4-8 In-House and Traveling basketball teams on Monday, February 18.  Please see website for updated schedules.

Stop by the Activities Office or before any Lourdes Athletic event to purchase your 2018-2019 All Sports Ticket.  The All Sports Ticket is $50 for 10 punches.  This is good for admission to regular season home games.
