SCHOOL NEWS

All schools in the Diocese of Winona take the NWEA test as our standardized testing instrument. These tests are given three times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring) over a four week time period. We ask that you avoid scheduling appointments/trips during testing periods whenever possible. This year’s NWEA dates are: September 10th - October 5th,  January 7th - February 1st, April 15th - May 10th.  
 

Calling moms, grandmas, aunts and any woman desiring to pray for students, faculty and staff at St. Francis of Assisi School.  We will meet every Monday starting September 10th at 8:45 a.m. in the St. Clare room.

The last Tuesday of each month, we come together as a school community for a school-wide “class meeting”. We get a preview of our upcoming virtue of the month, hear a bit about the saints we will be learning about, and discover how growing in virtue helps us eliminate bullying language and behavior. We wear our HERO t-shirts that day with uniform pants, shorts, skirts or skorts. T-shirts are purchased annually for all the new staff, new students and kindergarteners. If your child has outgrown their t-shirt and you need to purchase a replacement, please access the order form here. T-shirts will be ordered the first week of school, and again in January.

The 4th Annual St. Francis Fun Run is now open for registration! Anyone that registers before June 15th will receive their t-shirt at Meet the Teacher night! Come join us for fun, music, food, prizes and a little running or walking! And the 5K will be a timed event this year!
