Holy Spirit students pose in front of the Jefferson Memorial while visiting Washington, D.C. on the RCS summer bus trip to D.C. the last week of June.

"I....urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received,
with all humility and gentleness, with patience,
bearing with one another through love,
striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace:
one body and one Spirit,
as you were also called to the one hope of your call;
one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
one God and Father of all,
who is over all and through all and in all."  Ephesians 4:1-6

St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians provides a clear focus as our attention begins to turn to thinking about the 2018-2019 school year.  We approach this school year with humility for all of our blessings, gentleness toward one another, patience through life's many trials, love- wanting what is best for each other, unity to grow closer to Christ as a learning and faith community committed to holiness, and peace- the peace we extend to each other in the hope of resolving conflicts that arise among us.

As one body and one Spirit, we are Holy Spirit Catholic School- a school committed to forming a community of compassionate disciples who work hard to develop their gifts and talents to promote the common good of all.

  • We have started the project of painting our school- the bathrooms, the office, and the hallways- thank you to Amber Rolih, Mary Hust, Karen Swatosh, and all volunteers for transforming how our school looks and feels.
  • We are ready to offer opportunities for students to learn Spanish- PREK through 8th grade.
  • We are ready to implement a Classroom Patron Saint Program to emphasize models of faith and holiness as we strive to live the love of Christ in our daily lives.
  • The finishing touches are being put on a House System to promote multi-grade interactions in worship, prayer, service, learning, and fellowship.
  • Exploratory classes for 7th and 8th graders are being planned as we prepare to offer students opportunities to learn and interact with others in new ways.

On behalf of the teachers and staff of Holy Spirit Catholic School, thank you for your continued support of our school.  We are very excited to begin this new year together with you- to learn and grow with you, to celebrate and discover with you, to pray and serve with you.  Working together, in God's name, all things are possible!

A Parent's Prayer

Loving God,
You are the giver of all we possess,
the source of all of our blessings.
We thank and praise you.

Thank you for the gift of our children.

Help us to set boundaries for them,
and yet encourage them to explore.
Give us the strength and courage to treat
each day as a fresh start.

May our children come to know you, the one true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

May your Holy Spirit help them to grow
in faith, hope, and love,
so they may know peace, truth, and goodness.

May their ears hear your voice.
May their eyes see your presence in all things.
May their lips proclaim your word.
May their hearts be your dwelling place.
May their hands do works of charity.
May their feet walk in the way of Jesus Christ,
your Son and our Lord.
Amen.
