What a busy week these first few days of May! Here are the highlights: *We honored the amazing teachers in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week. Thanks to HSA/Parents that treated the staff with a yummy lunch. Thanks to the Advancement Office for the beautiful sunflower and card. We appreciate and love our school staff!!
*We also honored Mrs. Jan Borgmeier, our school nurse, for Nurse's Day. Thanks for all that you do and for being part of the Holy Spirit School team.
*Many classrooms were busy creating fun things for Mother's Day. Preschool moms even came to school to celebrate. Moms, you are all priceless! Enjoy your special day!
*Many 2nd graders have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion. We will celebrate them at our school mass on Wednesday, May 11 at 8:40am.

Thank you to all of the 5th grade families that helped with the delicious meal provided to staff this week. It was very thoughtful of you to do this! Everyone LOVED IT! Thank you! Students and staff are welcome to bring fresh or artificial flowers to be placed in vases in our center hallway to honor our Blessed Mother Mary during the month of May. Monday, May 9th at 6:30pm is the last HSA meeting of the school year. Please join us in room 105 at school. Everyone is welcome! Click here for the meeting agenda. Friday, May 6th is a non-uniform day. Friday, May 13th is a HERO shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, May 20th is RCS spirit wear top with uniform bottoms. Click here for the May Lunch Menu. Kindergarten - grade 5 will be NWEA testing in the next few weeks. Testing dates started on April 19th and will end on May 13th. Your teacher has additional information for your student's specific testing schedule. It is extra important that your student get good sleep and have a nutritious breakfast on testing days. 5th grade will be doing a shadow day at St. John's on Thursday, May 12th 9:30-11:30. Friday, May 13th grades 4 & 5 will be doing a Track and Field Day at LHS. Pack a sack lunch and drink for your student. Non-uniform day for these two grades. On Wednesday morning, May 18th K - grade 5 will be going to Pax Christi Church to pray the rosary for May Crowning. The Preschool Spring Music Concert will be Wednesday, May 25th at 10:30am in the Holy Spirit School Gym. Please look for more information from your classroom teacher. This is a student dress up day. K - Grade 5 Spring Music Concert will be on Thursday, May 26th at 1:00pm and 2:15pm in the Holy Spirit School Gym. Last name starting with A-M will attend the 1:00pm concert and last name starting with N-Z will attend the 2:15pm concert. This is a student dress up day. Friday, May 27th in the afternoon grades K-5 will participate in an outdoor afternoon event with our PE teacher Mr. Graham. More details to come. Mark your calendar. The last day of preschool is Wednesday, June 1st. On June 2nd at 2:00pm 5th graders will have a prayer service in the church. Parents and loved ones are welcome to join. We look forward to celebrating our 5th graders as they graduate to middle school. Mark your calendar- Friday, June 3rd. We will celebrate the last day of school with Mass at 10:00am and then students are done for the day. Families are welcome to attend Mass. There will be further instruction regarding students heading back to class, gathering items, and heading home. Students are to be picked up by 11:30am on the last day of school. There will not be school Mass on May 18th. K- grade 5 will be going to Pax Christi to pray the Rosary for May Crowning. There will not be Wednesday school Mass on June 1st as Mass is moved to the last day of school on June 3rd at 10:00am. Due to changes with the public school calendar there will be no late bus the following Wednesday: May 11th. Join the Lourdes Color Guard! The color guard is an essential part of the marching band show and is responsible for the theatrics and storytelling. The marching band practices regularly and performs at football games and weekend competitions. You do not need prior experience in dance or music to do color guard. All RCS students currently in grades 7-11 are welcome!
