Eagle Pride was on display this week to help cheer on the Lourdes Girls Basketball team at State! What a fun way for RCS to show support! Students also got to enjoy celebrating St. Patrick's Day by wearing green/yellow. Fun Non-Uniform Days! Many classrooms did activities to talk about how St. Patrick used the clover to teach others about the Holy Trinity and Christianity. Some classrooms were also trying to trap leprechauns. As we continue through March, please remember to watch the weather forecasts as one day it could be warmer and the next day it could be quite cold. It is important for students to be prepared when they go outside for recess. Before you know it, we will be ready for no winter gear! Enjoy your weekend! God bless, Miss Heimer |

Seeds of Faith Tuition Assistance Program- forms are due May 6th. There is no school Friday, March 25th through Friday, April 1st due to Spring Break. School is in session on Monday, April 4th. Thank you to everyone that participated in the Feast of St. Joseph Celebration in preschool this week. It was so much fun! The memories made will be cherished forever. There are times during the day your student is required to wear a face mask. Each student backpack does need to have a few spare masks. Masking is strongly recommended, but not mandatory, at all of the RCS schools. However, every student and staff member will still need to have a mask with them for small group situations where distancing is not possible. We will also rely on parents to be extra vigilant about keeping kids home when they are sick with any transmissible illness. Symptoms of COVID include runny nose, congestion, sore throat, cough, fever, and fatigue. We have free home antigen tests in the school office and our school nurse/secretaries can test with your written permission if your child becomes symptomatic at school. If your child has COVID, they will be required to isolate for a full 5 days after symptoms begin and then mask for an additional 5 days at school. Kindergarten - Grade 5 will participate in a RCS System Mass at Lourdes High School on April 21 at 10:30am. Students will bus there and back with their class. Friday, April 8th is non-uniform day. Friday, April 22nd is HERO shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, April 29th is Holy Spirit or RCS top with uniform bottoms. Grade 5 students will be going to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro on Monday, April 25th through Wednesday, April 27th. Click here for a link to the Eagle Bluff Website. An informational email went to all grade 5 parents on 3/11. Please let Mrs. Clemens know if you did not get the information or if you have questions. Thank you. It is a requirement to have a winter coat, snow pants, boots, gloves/mittens and a hat every single day. LABEL all of your students belongings. (Also, be sure that your child has a spare uniform or outfit in his/her backpack.) Due to changes with the public school calendar there will be no late bus the following Wednesdays: April 20th and May 11th. If your child has received the COVID-19 vaccine, please e-mail a copy, picture, or screenshot of your student's immunization record to our school nurse- Mrs. Borgmeier at: jborgmeier@rcsmn.org If you need to call an Extended Care room in the case of an emergency here are the directions. Call school at 507-288-8818 and push 2015 for the K - grade 5 room. If you need the preschool room push 2012. |
