As we approach the 3rd Sunday of Lent, we were blessed to be able to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a school this afternoon in the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. The students and staff were able choose one of seven priests to visit with to confess their sins and ask for the Lord's forgiveness. Thank you to the priests from Rochester that helped make this possible for the children. This week we also had a couple of days where students were allowed to be out of uniform. We try to save non-uniform days for special occasions, and as luck would have it (no pun intended) we had two special events happen this week: St. Patrick's Day and our Lourdes Eagles in the Girls State Basketball Tournament. St. Patick's Day is always a joyous day for the students and staff. Most of them like to dress up in their green outfits. Also, we love supporting our high school teams when they make it to a state tournament. The support our students give to the high school students is a wonderful tradition that gets passed on from class to class and year to year. We truly are blessed with an amazingly supportive community. Matt Langsdale, Principal I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the traditions, just as I handed them on to you (1 Corinthians, 11:2). |
