This morning students prayed the Stations of the Cross. It was a very meaningful service as our school community prayed for Jesus's last day on Earth. On Monday masking will be strongly recommended, but not mandatory, at all of the RCS schools. However, every student and staff member will still need to have a mask with them for small group situations where distancing is not possible. We will also rely on parents to be extra vigilant about keeping kids home when they are sick with any transmissible illness. Symptoms of COVID include runny nose, congestion, sore throat, cough, fever, and fatigue. We have free home antigen tests in the school office and our school nurse/secretaries can test with your written permission if your child becomes symptomatic at school. If your child has COVID, they will be required to isolate for a full 5 days after symptoms begin and then mask for an additional 5 days at school. Calling all parents- please join us for the next HSA Meeting on Monday, March 14th at 6:30pm in room 105. Preschool - Grade 5: We will celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 17th by wearing green and yellow to school. Kindergarten - Grade 5 will participate in a RCS System Mass at Lourdes High School on April 21 at 10:30am. Students will bus there and back with their class. Friday, March 11th is non-uniform day. Friday, March 18th is HERO shirt day with uniform bottoms. Grade 5 students will be going to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro on Monday, April 25th through Wednesday, April 27th. Click here for a link to the Eagle Bluff Website. An informational email went to all grade 5 parents on 3/11. Please let Mrs. Clemens know if you did not get the information or if you have questions. Thank you. It is a requirement to have a winter coat, snow pants, boots, gloves/mittens and a hat every single day. LABEL all of your students belongings. (Also, be sure that your child has a spare uniform or outfit in his/her backpack.) Due to changes with the public school calendar there will be no late bus the following Wednesdays: April 20th and May 11th. If your child has received the COVID-19 vaccine, please e-mail a copy, picture, or screenshot of your student's immunization record to our school nurse- Mrs. Borgmeier at: jborgmeier@rcsmn.org If you need to call an Extended Care room in the case of an emergency here are the directions.
