Principal's Message Our 2nd grade classes celebrated I Love to Read Month by having DEAR (Drop Everything And Read!) time; Ms. Cameron's class chose a beach theme for today! I have enjoyed seeing all of the pictures coming in of our students reading and am so impressed with the number of minutes our students are reading this month. Please remember to ask your child(ren) about asking friends and family about sponsoring their reading for our HSA fundraiser. We will be collecting these pledge sheets during the week of February 28th. Finally, we will be having our school field trip to Colonial Lanes on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 (Super Twosday!) and students are encouraged to wear neon colors. May God be with you Always,
Dave Jenson

We have two professional development days for teachers coming up. There is no school or extended care on Monday, February 21st or Friday, March 4th. Tuesday, February 22nd will be a neon color day as we will participate in cosmic bowling at Colonial Lanes, and Friday, February 25th will be a purple and gold school spirit non-uniform day. We will be having a school wide field trip with two groups where grades K-2 and grades 3-5 will each have one hour of bowling at Colonial Lanes on Tuesday, February 22nd! This is a fun way for us to make a lifelong memory for super 2’s day (Tuesday 2/22/22)! Students may wear bright colored neon shirts. In order to best utilize our staffing, our preschool morning care will start at 7 AM. If you need to drop off your child earlier than that, please let Mr. Jenson know and care will be provided on that day. Preschool parents, please use the following link to register for before and/or after school care for the coming weeks of 2/22-3/24 https://forms.gle/r8scxjahyzXpnxmn8 Season ll of The Chosen, a video series about Christ Come watch The Chosen. Let your life be transformed! See Jesus as real! Mondays 6:30-8:00 pm in Founders Hall. March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4 Grade 5 students will be going to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro on Monday, April 25th through Wednesday, April 27th. Click here for a link to the Eagle Bluff Website. Mr. Fuhrmeister and office staff will be in touch with information, fee collection, and forms. We are sending home a pledge sheet today for our spring HSA fundraiser in conjunction with I Love to Read Month. The Home & School Association helps fund fun school activities like the bowling outing, the Zoomobile, the Kindergarten ice cream social, and much more! They also directly support teachers by purchasing classroom materials, updating physical education and recess equipment, and providing a few wonderful staff meals throughout the course of the school year. In order to have as many students as possible attend our fun bowling outing, we are also going to push this later in the month. It will be a very attainable reward for our “I Love to Read Month” reading pledge fundraiser for our HSA. Mr. Amundson is also sending home reading logs for each week. These help our students keep track of their minutes spent reading (or being read to) and is separate from the pledge sheet, which will be returned the first week of March. 5th grade families: Are you planning for summer yet!? We would love for your middle schooler to join us at Camp Summit 2022 this summer! Camp Summit is an overnight Catholic adventure camp for middle school youth entering grades 6-8.
