Principal's Message At Mass this week, Father Russ read the Gospel story about Jesus' first miracle when he turned the water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana. Father then did a demonstration where he had a student help pour water into a pitcher but then red Kool-aid came out! He explained how he did the "trick" by having some powdered Kool-aid in the bottom of the pitcher, but that what Jesus performed was not magic; indeed, a miracle is something that cannot be explained by natural or known scientific laws. Our human nature usually makes us seek out the 'why' when we see something happen. However, when we face those events that appear to have no explanation, that is when we either deepen our faith or affirm our beliefs that are shared with others. As we continue to navigate the challenges of everyday life, we march forward triumphantly with the knowledge that the Lord is here to carry us through! We have had a wonderful first semester of school here at St. Pius X School. I am so thankful for the tremendous support from our families, the incredible professionalism and hard work of our teachers, and for the joy our students bring to the school everyday. As we look forward to the second half of our school year, please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions on how we can best meet your family's needs in providing an excellent Catholic education. May God be with you Always, Dave Jenson St. Pius X Principal |
