Boys Hockey Building for Success
Boys hockey is looking to build on some of the success they had last year, while establishing a new set of goals and expectations for this team.
"Our four captains are all seniors, returning with a lot of varsity hockey experience. Matthew Mahoney, Charlie Kielty, Jackson Heim, and Henry Radke all bring great leadership skills, commitment, hard work, and a desire to help our team enjoy success this season," states Coach Jeff True. "We have a good mix of players who have varsity experience along with younger players hungry and fighting for significant roles within our team."
After COVID cancelled Holiday Tournaments last year, True says the team is excited to have it back this year. "We are really looking forward to playing in the Kiwanis Tournament here in town the week after Christmas. Playing in your local tournament is always very enjoyable for our players, fans, and families."
They are currently 1-1 with games at St. Paul Academy and John Marshall this week. The next home game is Tuesday, December 14, against Winona Senior High School.
