Weekly School Broadcast Veteran's Day was celebrated this week on November 11th. Our 1st graders honored Veterans by creating beautiful pictures of Poppies! The Poppy became a symbol of Veteran's Day after World War I. Flanders Fields, where WWI soldiers were buried, was filled with white crosses and brilliantly red Poppies to honor those who lost their lives. We honor and thank all those soldiers who died to defend our freedom and those who are currently serving.
Enjoy your weekend!
