(cash/check only) Fine Arts Student of the Week - Jamie Nation Jamie is always bringing her best ideas forward and has really shown exceptional skill in AP Studio Art. She is specifically interested in pen and ink drawings and her focus for the semester so far has been on the idea of "time" and "contrast." It has been a pleasure to see her develop her art skills and I am excited to see what she creates throughout the year for her AP portfolio. Mrs. Forsthoffer Athlete of the Week - Seth Haight Seth had an outstanding game against La Crescent. He carried the ball 22 times for 284 yards and five touchdowns!. He helped the team in a big way for to win their Homecoming game 2021. Congratulations Seth! Teammates of the Week Boys Soccer - Conor Kane Conor has been playing multiple positions due to injuries and continues to battle through some injuries of his own. He's always giving his all for the team no matter the situation. Coach Kane Cross Country - Mariah Brooks Mariah had a great race at Pine Island helping the girls team to a second place finish. Mariah is always positive in her support of her teammates. Coach Gilman Girls Tennis - Taylor Seelhammer Taylor's in her first year of varsity this season after being on the JV the last 2 years. Taylor is very dependable, works hard, and cheers her teammates on during competition. Coach Pettengill Cheer - Sadie Johnston Sadie gracefully balances cheer and band each week. She works hard at practices and has mastered several new skills this year. She keeps a smile on her faces and has a positive attitude. I appreciate her dedication to the team. Coach Harris Girls Soccer - Caroline Adamson Congratulations to Ceej! She had the game winner against Breck on Saturday! Ceej had been battling these past two weeks, using her speed and athletic sense to know where to be on the field and better yet, when to be there. This past weekend it happened just like that. She took full advantage of her gifts and barreled through their defense to tally her first goal of the season. Ceej is usually so unselfish on the field, choosing to pass the ball and distribute through the middle. Our team exploded for her when that ball went in the net this weekend! She is already a tremendous leader and a class act, AND she becoming a better soccer player every day! Coach Groven Volleyball - Leah Wieneke Leah is the definition of a team player! She is the first to celebrate a teammate when they've made a great play and the first to offer words of encouragement to a teammate who needs it! Leah works extremely hard and has shown so much improvement from the beginning of the season. We can always count on Leah to bring positive energy to practice and games and make it FUN for everyone!
