Weekly School Broadcast Hello Holy Spirit Families, Happy end of summer to you all! I hope you all peacefully enjoy the rest of this gorgeous summer with your loved ones.
This is an updated Back to School Broadcast-
The Back to School Weekly Broadcast went out last week. Unfortunately some of our preschool families did not get the initial notice. I am very sorry, with our brand new data base we have had some challenges converting our communication system. Thank you for taking time to review the following material as we have had some changes.
Picture day is no longer August 24th at Meet the Teacher. Lifetouch had to cancel. We are happy to find another day this fall that will work better for them. A new date and more information will come.
Please note the time change: Meet the Teacher is August 24th from 4:30pm-6:30pm.
Can't wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher next week. Please call the school office at 507-288-8818 if you have any questions or concerns.
God bless, Miss Heimer

The late bus will pick up at HS around 4:10pm and then head to Gibbs School. Please e-mail: kclemens@rcsmn.org Thank you! Classroom Activity Fees will be collected at Meet the Teacher in the gym. Please pay for the mat at Meet the Teacher. There are times during the year you will be asked to wash your child's mat and return it. Uniforms are worn to school kindergarten - grade 5. Please read here if you have questions regarding uniforms and what you may need. If you have gently used uniforms school would love for you to bring those in before Meet the Teacher night. We will have all of our selection of gently used items out for families on Meet the Teacher night. We love that our school shares and recycles gently used uniforms. Thank you! Thursday, September 2nd is RCS Spirit Day for everyone! Wear purple and gold to school. Students in grades K-5 will need to order a HERO t-shirt if you don't already have one. HERO t-shirts represent our no bullying campus. HERO t-shirts are worn on certain Fridays during the school year. HERO stands for: helping everyone respect others. The shirts are $10. Order forms will be at Meet the Teacher. All students preschool - grade 5 will need a daily backpack. Please have a spare set of clothing in your students backpack including undergarments. Uniform K-5 or regular clothing for preschool students. It is helpful to label all of your students belongings. Playing musical instruments benefits students in many ways. RCS provides the opportunity for all students to play a band instrument starting in 5th grade. All 5th grade students are welcome to try band this year! If you have not registered for band yet or have questions about joining, please contact Ms. Wendy Hanson, RCS 5-8 Band Instructor. Band students will need to provide instruments and a lesson book. More information will be given as we get closer to the beginning of school. If you have already registered and are excited to get started, information will also be coming for you. Anyone with questions about playing in band can contact Ms. Hanson at: whanson@rcsmn.org. Your student will be getting a Friday Folder. This is a white heavy folder with purple printing. This is an important folder to use all school year. You will get your folder at Meet the Teacher or the first week of school. Encourage your student to take good care of this folder. This folder is stuffed with important information, items to go through, and items to keep at home. Return the empty folder every Monday in your students backpack after you have gone through it. Thank you. We are looking for more lunchroom volunteers. Please read this short message here from our lunchroom volunteer coordinator. Volunteering in the lunchroom is a great and easy way to get involved at school and enjoy your child with their classmates. Click here to volunteer. Thank you! Student safety and well-being is the priority of RCS and the Diocese of Winona, all volunteers are required to take part in the “VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children” volunteer training program. Click here to learn more and sign up for the training. Please reach the Holy Spirit Office 507-288-8818 or email: kclemens@rcsmn.org if you have questions or need any assistance. Once the training is done please notify Mrs. Clemens and she will prompt the online background check. Please click here to review immunization protocol, health forms and how to handle illness with your child and school. Please check your SchoolAdmin parent portal here. It is important to have all of your forms uploaded before school starts.
