School News Holy Spirit School Rummage Sale is Saturday, July 10th 7am - 1pm at Holy Spirit School. Bag sale starting at 11:00am. How can you help? Clean everything out of your house you no longer wish to have. Drop items at school Friday, July 9th 9am -5pm. (The only thing we cannot take is car seats, cribs, playpens, high chairs, booster seats, swings, computer equipment or TVs.) Preschool - grade 5 can donate used school supplies to Hope for Haiti Foundation. All of your used supplies- crayons, markers, pencils, colored pencils, pens, rulers, erasers, scissors, dry erase markers, glue sticks, sharpeners, calculators... PLEASE bring them in!!! Stick it all in a bag and drop it off in the main office. We will be shipping everything to Haiti to help their children learn and grow. Thank you! Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a temporary food benefit available to Minnesota families who qualify for free or reduced-price school lunch. These families will be mailed an electronic benefit card which is loaded with funds that can be spent on food this summer. To participate in this program please be sure that you have an Application for Educational Benefits filled out here. Please return the form to the main office. There is no extended late care on Friday, June 4th. Friday, May 7th is non-uniform day. (Non-uniform top and bottom.) Friday, May 14th is HERO t-shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, May 21st is HOUSE t-shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, May 28th is Spirit t-shirt day with non-uniform bottoms. (Spirit shirt means any top that is RCS or Holy Spirit related.) Friday, June 4th is a non-uniform day. Orders need to be placed by 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, for delivery to schools on June 3. Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. No orders will be placed June 28. The Scrip Office will be closed July 1 - 9. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone 6 months and older get vaccinated for the flu yearly. The ideal time to be vaccinated is before the end of October and flu season gets underway. The School-Located Immunization Program vaccinates children for flu at school, including all schools in Olmsted County, as well as the Kasson-Mantorville Schools in Dodge County and Pine Island schools in Goodhue County. System Activities Sports physicals are required by MSHSL to participate in sports throughout the school year. Sports physicals are valid for three years. Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine and Olmsted Medical Center are offering sports physical clinics this summer for students in grades 7-12. Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine - Saturday, July 31 from 8:00-11:00 am at Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center. Appointment only. Cost $20 (cash/check only). Click here for full details.
