General If Seniors have money left over in their lunch account and they have a sibling at Lourdes, the money will be transferred to the sibling. If a senior has no sibling they are able to pick up the refund from the cafeteria on the last day for seniors during non lunch serving times. Seniors with negative balances need to bring in lunch payments before their last day. Donald's Uniform will be at Lourdes on Wednesday, June 9th from 12-5 for a uniform fitting event. The event is open to incoming freshmen and all Lourdes students. There will be select merchandise on hand to purchase. To adhere to social distancing we ask that you sign up for a time slot for the event through sign up genius. Please notify the school if your child gets the COVID-19 Vaccination If your child has received both doses of the COVID-19 Vaccination, please share the dates with the school via a picture of the vaccination card or other proof of vaccination so we can record the dates. Once a student is 14 days post vaccination, they will no longer need to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact at school. Anyone, including non-Mayo patients, may schedule a time to get vaccinated in Rochester, and at our Mayo Clinic Health System sites in Southeastern Minnesota and Southwestern Minnesota. Those age 16 and older are eligible. You do not need to be a resident of Minnesota to get vaccinated in Minnesota. Campus Ministry Adoration will be held in the Lourdes Chapel every Friday morning, 7:15am - 12:00pm, during second semester. Athletics Joe Sperry has worked extremely hard physically and mentally over the past 2 years, and his dedication is paying off in a tremendous way. He is a leader on the mound and at the plate. Monday vs KM 5 IP, 2 hits, 1 BB, 6 K no runs allowed. At the plate in 3 games: 5 for 11 (.455 avg) with 2 doubles, 2 HR (including grand slam), 3 R, 9 RBI 1.682 OPS. Congratulations Joe! Cheer evaluations to determine cheerleaders for 2021/2022 season will take place May 17 & 18 from 4:00-5:30 pm, May 19 from 4:00-5:00 pm and May 20 arrival time of 4:00 pm for final day of evaluation. There will be an informational meeting for any girls and their parents currently in grades 6 through 11 who are interested in playing on the tennis team in the fall. The meeting will be on Wednesday, May 19th at 5:15 in the LHS Forum. Current players and anyone who has an interest in joining team should plan to attend with parent(s). Summer tennis opportunities, season schedules and clothing/uniform orders will be discussed. Fine Arts Sarah is the section leader in both marching band and concert band. Sarah consistently comes prepared ready to lead the mellophones in rehearsals and sectionals. System News Rochester Catholic Schools believes that reading is an important aspect of a child’s education and one that should take place year-round.
