Weekly School Broadcast As part of the RCS Strategic Plan, we focus on Catholic Identity.
School News Today, our 4th grade students had an introduction to the different beginning band instruments available for starting band in 5th grade. Instruments they saw and heard were: flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone and percussion. Information about starting band was sent home with each student and will be emailed to each family. The students were very excited and enthusiastic about the instruments! The last day of preschool is Wednesday, June 2nd. The last day of kindergarten - grade 5 is Friday, June 4th at 10:45am. Students will have a special prayer service and pick up will be like our regular pick up routine using the car line at 10:45am. Prayer service will be students only. There is no extended late care on Friday, June 4th. Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no 5-8 grade concert this May 18. Because we have not had the space to adequately distance for large group rehearsals, we have turned our focus to instrument technique and solo and small group playing. Students have been recorded playing their solos and ensembles and should have shared their videos with their families. If you haven't seen your child's video(s) please ask them about it! Band students have worked very hard this year and I am so proud of their accomplishments! Ms. Hanson Friday, May 7th is non-uniform day. (Non-uniform top and bottom.) Friday, May 14th is HERO t-shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, May 21st is HOUSE t-shirt day with uniform bottoms. Friday, May 28th is Spirit t-shirt day with non-uniform bottoms.
