School News Our faculty and staff are so appreciative of the generous Christmas gift stipend from our HSA and the parents of our St. Pius X students! We sincerely thank you for making us feel so loved and supported. Our Winter NWEA testing will take place between January 12th and January 28th. Please help your child perform at their best by encouraging them to get a good night’s rest and to try their best during the tests. Friday, January 15th will be a Purple & Gold School Spirit Non-Uniform Day. Due to our observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and the end of 1st semester, there will be no school on Monday, January 18th or Friday, January 22nd. Catholic Schools week will have a slightly different feel this year, but it is still going to be a fun week! We will have different dress up day themes each day, a class fundraising competition via a penny war, and other fun classroom activities. Students will also each be making a card for one of the Sisters at Assisi Heights to let them know we are thinking about them. We're very excited to share the newest issue of Time for Literature, our St. Pius/St. John's literary journal, with the St. Pius school community. This fall, 14 students contributed their writing-we hope you enjoy reading their stories! We're planning to start working on our next issue in January, and any interested students in 2nd grade or older are welcome to participate. Please feel free to contact Mr. Amundson (bamundson@rcsmn.org) or Mrs. Montoya (pward-montoya@rcsmn.org) for more information. Please click here.
