Weekly School Broadcast Happy New Year to all! I hope that the Christmas vacation was a time for some relaxation and celebration! It was a nice pause for everyone to refuel!
Today we had a virtual assembly that centered on our Olweus Program (anti-bullying program) that RCS utilizes. This program helps students to learn, review, and be more aware of their choices in handling themselves respectfully. We really focus on how we may not be able to control what another decides to do or say, BUT we can control how we handle that situation. We review with students that they may use their words respectfully and ask the other to please stop. If that person does not respect what they said, they may try and walk away from the situation. If that person follows them, they need to go to the closest adult and ask that adult for help. We also hit on how to be a good bystander. If this program is new or you need a refresher, please click here to learn more!
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless,
