Weekly School Broadcast As we finish the school week, and the second week of Advent, I'm reminded of the meaning of the second Advent candle. The candle reminds us of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem. Which also makes me think of the journey we have all been on this school year. The road has been windy and bumpy but we remain focused on what is truly important and the knowledge that there are greater things to come. Next week, the third week of Advent, will be very joyful. There will be joy in the classrooms and everywhere throughout the building as we end the calendar year at school and, more importantly, prepare for the coming of Jesus.
Thank you for trusting us with your children and their spiritual, social, emotional, and academic development. And, thank you for your continued support.
Matt Langsdale, Principal
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him (John, 3:17).
School News Christmas Program Mrs. Sherman and the students in grade 6-7-8 are preparing a unique Christmas Program this year, “The Littlest Angel”. We will videotape the Christmas Program on Wednesday, December 16 following strict CDC guidelines. Students will be spaced 6-10 feet apart with masks on at all times. Mrs. DeFrang will help us videotape the music to send home in a Christmas Program video – a special message of Jesus’ birth to you. Mrs. Sherman would like all students to dress up on December 16: Girls please wear dresses, skirts or dress slacks and blouse. Dresses and skirts music be “dress code” length. No shoulders showing please. Boys please wear dress slacks, shirt and tie, or sweater. No shorts please. Please let Mrs. Cameron or Mrs. Sherman know if students will NOT be in school on December 16 as each student plays an instrument for this concert. Parents/Guardians that prefer their students not participate in the video, please let Mrs. Sherman know as soon as possible. In addition, Distance Learners please send your Christmas wishes to Mrs. Sherman as soon as your “Merry Christmas” video/photo is prepared.
