Weekly School Broadcast Principal's Message
As we look toward the Thanksgiving holiday, let us be mindful of all of the blessings we have in our lives. We have had 55 wonderful opportunities to connect with our students at St. Pius X, as each day together is truly a gift. We will continue to offer in-person learning as long as it is prudent to do so, and will switch to a full distance learning model if necessary. Please know that your child(ren)'s safety is our first priority, and we are committed to providing the best Catholic, whole-child education possible with that in mind. Our school community will continue to count on your support as we do what is best for our children each and every day.
School News To all the families of the St. Pius X community: We hope all of you and your families are staying well during this challenging time. As you check your child(ren)’s school folder this week, please also find enclosed the announcement for the annual Holiday fund which goes to support a monetary gift for our school staff. Instructions are in the letter and an envelope for your hopeful gift was enclosed for your convenience. We forward our appreciation for your generosity in advance so that we can recognize our special school staff during this time of year. There is no school Wednesday, November 25th - Friday, November 27th for Thanksgiving break. There will be no scheduled St. Pius X School Broadcast next week. Our next Spirit Day will be a Purple & Gold School Spirit day on Friday, December 4th. As we approach the start of winter, the possibility of a two hour morning delay to school returns. This means Before School Care would open at 8:30 AM, and the school day would begin at 11 AM. The school day will still end at 3:35 PM, and After School Care will still be offered until 6 PM. Look for notifications from RCS via your preferred Infinite Campus notification. When dropping off students in the morning between 8:30-8:50 AM, please be aware of the buses and allow them to pull up to the curb to unload. If no buses are present, please pull forward toward the middle of the parking lot to allow more students to exit their vehicles in a timely manner. If your child is in Kindergarten or first grade and is a little slower exiting the vehicle, please drop off on 12th St NW. For those children who are able to exit their vehicles easily, please continue to use 13th Ave NW along the parking lot.
