SYSTEM NEWS We have some great opportunities to enrich your student's mind, heart, and spirit throughout the summer with programming in June (online), July (in-person), and August (in-person) through the RCS Summer Academy. Classes focused on American Sign Language, math, art, and theatre skills are all available now. For more information on the class offerings please click here. As we wrap up the 2019-2020 school year, Rochester Catholic Schools (RCS) is reminding families to get your children up-to-date on required shots before the 2020-2021 school year begins. Pursuant to Minnesota law, RCS requires written proof of scheduled shots for all students in preschool-12 before the first day of school. This policy is also known as “No Shots, No School.” If your child has a medical reason, or if his or her parents are conscientiously opposed to any of the scheduled shots, a legal exemption is available. This legal exemption would also need to be received prior to the the first day of school. Additional information can be found on the Minnesota Department of Health’s website. The Minnesota Required Childhood Immunization Schedule can also be found on MDH’s website. If you are not sure if your child is up-to-date on his or her immunizations, please check with your health care provider. The end of the school year brings staffing changes at every school. We'd like to thank all of those employees who are departing RCS for their contributions to the system and commitment to our students. In addition, we'd like to give special recognition to eight individuals who are retiring after many years of dedicated service to Catholic education.
