WEEKLY BROADCAST FEATURED NEWS Virtue of the Month
SCHOOL NEWS Governor Tim Walz has extended the Stay at Home order for Minnesota until May 4th. Our distance learning continues! There are some classrooms and grades that need to get additional materials to students, so we will have a ‘drive through’ packet pick-up/materials drop off on Thursday, April 16th from 4:00 pm - 8:00pm, and Friday, April 17th from 6:30am-6:00pm. Just pull up to the school doors. A staff member will collect raffle tickets, materials that are completed and bring you your new packets. Teachers will send an email to parents early next week to let you know if you need to pick anything up. We believe this method falls within the order guidelines. Stay safe and keep learning! This past week, winners of the Music K-8 Cover contest were announced. St. Francis of Assisi School had 39 winners! Congratulations to the following students whose covers earned: Honorable Mention Awards: Eric Vareberg, Evie Hyder, Ava Eckerman, Abram Hanna, Katherine Sieve, Chiara Lovely, Julia O’Connell, Evan Chestolowski, Caitlin Carnell, Cullen Langsdale, Jack Broadbent, Ty Came, Leah Wieneke, Abby Weick and Claire Schwirtz Finalists: Patrick Streefland, Olivia Scaccio and Annie Borgmeier We typically bless our birthday students and staff at the end of each month for the upcoming month. Here is a special blessing for each of you: If you took your initial Virtus training in 2015 it’s time for an online recertification. It the training is required for you, you should have received an email from the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. Please take a few minutes to complete the training. Once you have completed the training can you please email Deb Hatzenbihler, Secretary at dhatzenbihler@rcsmn.org and we will update our school records. Thanks for your help! Due to the social distancing guidelines of the Covid 19 pandemic, the 2019-2020 carnival has been cancelled. Read more here to find ways you can help. THANK YOU to all of our donors for this year's raffle so far! Click here for the list of donations. We know more are coming, and are very appreciative, and excited to hold our prize drawing in May. Be creative in selling your tickets! Phone calls and Video Chats are fun ways of connecting with friends and family. Consider asking if they'd like to give a dollar (or more) to help our school and have a chance to win! Please continue to buy/sell raffle tickets. The raffle will go on as planned and we have some GREAT prizes! Raffle tickets and money can be turned in to the school vestibule on Thursday, April 16th (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm) or Friday, April 17th (6:30 am - 6:00 pm). Additional raffle tickets may be requested by emailing Micki Spors at mspors@gmail.com. Stay tuned for additional details regarding the raffle prize drawing. As we start preparing for the summer and next year, we always like to have our volunteer chair people in place. We have several needs for the 2020-2021 school year. Please contact stfhsa@rcsmn.org if you are willing to serve or if you have any questions about the following openings:

We hope you will take comfort in participating in these services from your home and knowing that we will be together in spirit as we continue our journey with Jesus.
