SCHOOL NEWS Updated Communication Dear Families, Please look for updated communication from Mr. Langsdale next week regarding our Distance Learning Plan and Attendance. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy HSA Positions Open for 2020-2021 Dear Parents, The HSA will have the following positions open as of June of this year and we are looking for any interested parents to apply. If you are interested in any of these positions please feel free to send your name in. These positions will be voted on at our May meeting. The next HSA meeting will be Monday March 9th at 6pm in the school library. We thank you for all your support, it is truly appreciated. Chair/ Co-chairs: The Chair/Co-Chairs shall create agendas for HSA meetings, preside over these meetings, serve as the primary contact for the Principal and Assistant Principal, represent the HSA at meetings outside the organization, and coordinate the work of the officers. The Chair/Co-Chair serves in this position for a period of two years. (Must be a parent or legal guardian of a student at the school). Treasurer: The HSA treasurer serves as the custodian of the HSA’s finances. Over the past couple of years, the time required for this has varied, but it has averaged less than an hour/week. The role’s primary responsibilities include:
Fundraising coordinator (New Position): The HSA fundraising coordinator will be responsible for organizing the two HSA run school fundraisers, one in the Fall and one in Spring. Rebecca Nuss (Co-chair St. John’s HSA) Schulze Foundation - Grant We are blessed to have been provided with a challenge grant from the Schulze Foundation. The funds from this grant will be used to help make our school even better than it already is. SYSTEM NEWS Our school community continues to adapt, learn, stay connected, and support each other through this new experience of distance learning that began throughout Rochester Catholic Schools on March 18 in response to COVID-19. We are very proud of the dedication and commitment by our students, teachers, and parents in making the launch of distance learning for preschool-grade 12 a great success and being an amazing source of strength and inspiration during this time.
