SCHOOL NEWS During Lent we will be praying the Stations of the Cross each Friday at 1:30 pm, starting February 28th. Please join us if you are available. You should have received information on re-enrolling for the 2020-21 school year. We are asking all families to send back the form with your registration fee (or complete online). If you have questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Plenge, bplenge@rcsmn.org. Parent Teacher conferences are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, February 18th and 20th. Please call the office if you have not yet scheduled a time. We’d love to see you and share your child’s progress. There will be a Used Uniform sale during conferences on February 18th and 20th. Our lost and found is getting full. Please check the lost and found while you are here during conferences. Items not claimed by Friday, February 19th in the morning will be donated to a charity. Monday, February 17th is our Staff Retreat and Service Day. There will be no school. See you Tuesday, February 18th! Thank you to everyone who contributes food items for the faculty and staff meals. There is quite an assortment of bowls/utensils still in the staff lounge from the Christmas meal. Please check it out if you are missing items at home!
SYSTEM NEWS It's time to enroll your child(ren) for the 2020-2021 school year! You recently received a mailing from the RCS Admissions Office asking you to confirm your child(ren)'s enrollment for 2020-21. To review the email that was sent as a follow up to the letter, please click here. You may mail in your Family Data Sheet with the $50 per student in grades Kindergarten through 12 Registration Fee (family maximum of $150 K-12) or complete your child(ren)'s enrollment and pay the Registration Fee online by clicking here. Each family must complete either the Family Data Sheet or the online Re-enrollment Form regardless of where you child(ren) will attend school for the 2020-2021 school year. Please contact admissions@rcsmn.org with questions. The school calendar is set for the 2020-2021 school year. The first day of classes will be Monday, August 31, 2020 and the final day of classes will be Friday, June 4, 2021. Please click here to see the complete school calendar for next year. Register now to secure your spot for a summer of faith, fun, and friends at Rochester Catholic Schools Summer Care, serving children ages 3-12. A nonrefundable deposit of $75 per family is due at this time. We do not require your specific schedule at this time. ACTIVITIES NEWS There will be a girls golf informational meeting for parents and players on Monday, March 2 at 6:00 pm in the LHS Forum. Girls Golf is open to all RCS students in grades 7-12. Anyone in Grades 7-12 interested in Lourdes Clay Target Team for the 2020 Spring Trap League Season is invited to attend an informational meeting on February 20 at Century High School Forum from 7:00-8:30 PM. Details about the sport as well as important dates/times and fee structure will be shared. Any questions families and students may have will be answered. Firearms Safety will be discussed as ALL participants will be required to have Firearms Safety Certification prior to the start of the season. Join us as we celebrate our Young Eagles at Boys Youth Basketball Night Tuesday, February 18th at Lourdes High School. Boys in grades 4-8 who participated in school ball and/or traveling basketball this year, along with their coaches, will be recognized during halftime of the Varsity game. Come cheer on the Eagles as they take on Triton and congratulate the youth boys. 7Gr (4:30 pm) at St. John's All students have free admission! Go Eagles! Boys and Girls Lacrosse (Grades 7-12) registration will be open from February 17-28. This is a Co-op with John Marshall which will end after the 2021 season and not be renewed. We will not have an option to offer Lacrosse after the 2021 season. Please make sure your sports physical is on file and up-to-date in the athletic/activities office and does NOT expire prior to June 6.
