Mary Bleckwehl (www.marybleckwehl.com), is an author of books like "Claire's Hair" and "Henry! You're Late Again"! She came and visited our students, Preschool-5th grade and talked about what it takes to get a book published!! This was a perfect connection with our FUN "I Love to Read" month in February!! Mrs. Sobotka and Mr. Amundson have organized some great activities for this month celebration!!
SCHOOL NEWS No School Monday, February 17th There will be no school on Monday, February 17th. This is a Day of Service for the RCS employees. St. Pius X School Spring Concert The Spring Concert will be this May for St. Pius X School. Due to a track meet for middle school students, the St. Pius Concert has been moved to May 14 at 6:30 pm. Students are expected to attend as each student has a very important part in the concert. Rochester Catholic Schools (RCS) is pleased to offer a variety of financial support options to our families. All families are encouraged to apply for financial assistance through FAIR (Financial Aid Independent Review). You will need: School Code: 150; Password: rcs150; valid email address; credit card (Visa/Master Card); a copy of your 2019 Income Tax return. For returning users, your email and password from previous years are still active. Assistance is available for the processing fee, please contact the RCS Business Office at jbarnick@rcsmn.org. Deadline March 20, 2020 It's time to enroll your child(ren) for the 2020-2021 school year! You recently received a mailing from the RCS Admissions Office asking you to confirm your child(ren)'s enrollment for 2020-21. To review the email that was sent as a follow up to the letter, please click here. You may mail in your Family Data Sheet with the $50 per student in grades Kindergarten through 12 Registration Fee (family maximum of $150 K-12) or complete your child(ren)'s enrollment and pay the Registration Fee online by clicking here. Each family must complete either the Family Data Sheet or the online Re-enrollment Form regardless of where you child(ren) will attend school for the 2020-2021 school year. Come cheer on the Eagles as they take on Triton and congratulate the youth boys. 7Gr (4:30 pm) at St. John's All students have free admission! Go Eagles! Join us as we celebrate our Young Eagles at Girls Youth Basketball Night Tuesday, February 11th at Lourdes High School. Girls in grades 4-8 who participated in school ball and/or traveling basketball this year, along with their coaches, will be recognized during halftime of the Varsity game. Following the Varsity game, all students will have an opportunity to get an autograph and/or picture with the Eagles varsity players! Come watch the Eagles as they take on Kasson-Mantorville, congratulate the youth girls, and stay for autograph/picture session following the game. 7Gr (4:30 pm) at St. Francis All students have free admission! Go Eagles! Boys and Girls Lacrosse (Grades 7-12) registration will be open from February 17-28. This is a Co-op with John Marshall which will end after the 2021 season and not be renewed. We will not have an option to offer Lacrosse after the 2021 season. Please make sure your sports physical is on file and up-to-date in the athletic/activities office and does NOT expire prior to June 6. The registration software will NOT allow you to register if you don’t have one on file or will expire. Please register at www.johnmarshallrockets.org.
