WEEKLY BROADCAST FEATURED NEWS A Message from the Principal As we prepare to celebrate the birthday of Jesus I am reminded of the gift He is in our lives everyday. Our preparations ramp up for the celebrations with family and friends and often the true meaning of the season is overshadowed or sometimes completely lost as we strive to provide the 'perfect' Christmas for our families. A poem shared with the staff during faculty prayer still resonates, and reminds me that Jesus Christ came to save us and show us the way to the Father. When the song of the angels is stilled, May your families be blessed with safe travel, wonderful celebrations and a respite from the hectic pace of our world. And may our celebration of Christmas bring us all to the work of Christmas! Respectfully,
SCHOOL NEWS Wishing you a Blessed Christmas Season. Click here for a Christmas wish from our Faculty and Staff. On Thursday, each St. Francis of Assisi School employee received a generous gift from the Christmas collection provided by the Home and School Association. We are extremely humbled and grateful for the generosity of our school families. We feel VERY appreciated with all of the treats, cards, gifts and most importantly prayers that come our way. We could not do this important work without your support. Thank you for trusting us with your children and allowing us to partner with you on this faith journey. Click here for a thank you from the Faculty and Staff. Our winter window for NWEA testing is January 13-February 7. Classroom teachers are scheduling testing sessions now and will be sharing those dates with you. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments during your child’s scheduled tests. The St. Francis of Assisi School Robotics Club consists of twelve sixth graders who have met before school twice a week since September to learn about LEGO robotics and beginning programming concepts. On Wednesday, they participated in the 14th annual ILEO (IBM Lego Education Outreach) Robotics Competition at RCTC and showed off their hard work with a long term project that required them to program a snowplow to remove items from a set area. They also competed in a bowling type tournament to knock over pegs while racing against another team. Congratulations to the following students for a fun and successful robotics season!
