WEEKLY BROADCAST FEATURED NEWS We are now in our 1st week of Advent and will light the second purple candle this weekend! The Advent wreath is the color of green which stands for new life and hope! It also reminds us of the gift of new life we received with the sacrament of baptism. The first and second purple candles stand for penance; the small sacrifices we make to welcome Jesus in our hearts and homes and prepare to meet Jesus on Christmas day! St. Pius students and staff joined together in church for our first Advent Prayer Service! It was wonderful to have everyone join to remind us how important the Advent season is as we get closer to celebrating the Christmas season!

Entry forms will go home with students on Friday, December 6th. If your child would like to participate, kindly return the entry form to the school office by Wednesday, December 18th. Last Chance to Donate to the Staff Christmas Fund Thanks to all who have so promptly donated to the St. Pius X School Staff Christmas Fund! The St. Pius X Home and School Association (HSA) will be continuing our annual tradition of collecting funds for staff Christmas gifts. With your generous support, we will distribute monetary gifts to all school staff, including teachers, paraprofessionals, office, custodial, maintenance and kitchen staff. Please consider giving to this fund in lieu of individual gifts. The staff sincerely appreciates this gesture. Please enclose your donation in an envelope labeled "Staff Christmas Fund," along with your family's last name(s), and return it to the school office by Tuesday, December 10. Please make checks payable to the St. Pius X Home and School Association. Happy holidays, and many thanks for your generosity and support!
