WEEKLY BROADCAST FEATURED NEWS
As we begin the Advent season, we are reminded that this a time for prayer, penance, sacrifice, and hope. The students of the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Middle School participated in Reconciliation on Friday afternoon. The students had the opportunity to visit with a priest, of their choice, to confess their sins and have them absolved. They were also provided with time for prayer in the Co-Cathedral. Thank you to all of the priests that made this day possible for us.
SCHOOL NEWS St. John Christmas Program
Dear Parent/Guardian, Everyone is invited to attend the Christmas Concert for Co-Cathedral St. John the Evangelist School. The Christmas Program will be presented on December 18 at 6:30 PM at Lourdes High School Auditorium. The Christmas Program is a wonderful community event that brings together the students, staff, family, friends and parishioners. It allows the students to extend their music and performance skills in a very meaningful way through the process (practicing) and the product (performance). Most importantly, the St. John Christmas Program is another way for all of us to focus on the season of Advent. We hope that you will be able to join us for the performance on December 18. Staff Christmas Gift Collection As the advent season approaches, we will be collecting funds for the staff Christmas gifts. Monetary gifts will be distributed to all school staff via the Home and School Association (HSA) fund. This includes teachers, paraprofessionals, office staff, custodians, and maintenance staff. Please consider giving to this fund in lieu of individual gifts and note that participation in this gift collection is completely optional. The staff will sincerely appreciate the gesture. Please enclose your donation in an envelope labeled “Staff Christmas Fund” and return it to the school by Monday Dec. 9th. Please make checks payable to St. John HSA. Many thanks for your generosity and continued support, The Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist Middle School HSA LAST CALL for Belize Trip!
