While you can still clip box tops from some products (including Ziploc and Kleenex) and bring them to the school collection bin, many products have introduced electronic box tops. For these, you download an app, scan your receipt within 14 days of purchase, and the school is credited with boxtop-eligible items. Below is a link to an instructional video about the new system. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh94b2BvFK4
Visit https://www.boxtops4education.com/ to download the app.
Please keep bringing the old-fashioned box tops (with expiration dates) to the school collection bin—especially those that are expiring soon!

You may have noticed a few changes to the parent portal recently. Infinite Campus continues to make updates to improve the user experience. Unfortunately, some of our RCS parents have run into issues when making lunch payments online. Please make sure that you are using a recently updated version of your web browser. Infinite Campus is accessible on many popular web browsers (ex: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Unfortunately, Internet Explorer is no longer a recommended browser of Infinite Campus. Microsoft officially retired Internet Explorer in 2015 and is encouraging users to find alternatives to this web browser. If you have questions, please contact the school office or RCS Director of Technology Adam Mateske (amateske@rcsmn.org). Mark your calendars for Rochester Catholic Schools Kindergarten Discovery Night on Monday, November 18th, 5:30 p.m., at St. Pius X School. This event is for any family wishing to enroll in our kindergarten programs for the 2020-21 school year. At Rochester Catholic Schools we recognize that our children are our most precious resource so we take extraordinary measures to keep them safe! The Diocese of Winona-Rochester has taken extraordinary measures to ensure that all of the schools, parishes and programs administered in the Diocese adhere to child protection policies. It is absolutely essential that those entrusted to our care are safe. Since 2002, over 30,000 thorough criminal background checks and screenings have been run on clergy, employees and volunteers that work with children in the Diocese. Each year, every priest and deacon, as well as thousands of lay employees and volunteers are trained through VIRTUS Safe Environment, a nationally recognized program aimed to educate adults how to recognize and prevent abuse. The Diocese of Winona-Rochester requires volunteers to take the Virtus training prior to volunteering. Please visit www.Dow.org Background check forms can be picked up at any school office or downloaded off the Diocese of Winona-Rochester website. The Diocese of Winona-Rochester will provide a prompt, appropriate and compassionate response to reporters of sexual abuse of a child by any diocesan agent (employees, volunteers, vendors, religious or clergy). Anyone wishing to make a report of an allegation of sexual abuse should call the Victim Assistance Coordinator at 507-454-2270, Extension 255. A caller will be asked to provide his or her name and telephone number. Individuals are also encouraged to take their reports directly to civil authorities. The Diocese of Winona-Rochester is committed to protecting children, young people and other vulnerable people in our schools, parishes and ministries. The diocesan policy is available on the diocesan web site at www.dowr.org under the Safe Environment Program. If you have any questions about the Diocese of Winona's implementation of the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People, please contact Mary Hamann, at 507-858-1244, or mhamann@dowr.org.
