About
The Nest at Rochester Catholic Schools rooted itself as a premier preschool in 1987-1988 throughout the Rochester community. Our program first opened its doors at our St. Francis of Assisi School location - then known as St. Francis Nursery School. Today, we have expanded our faith-based learning to welcome children at our four locations!
- Lourdes High School serving ages 4 and 5 with Pre-Kindergarten curriculum
- Holy Spirit School serving ages 2 - 5 with Early Preschool, Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten curriculum
- St. Francis of Assisi School serving ages 3 - 5 with Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten curriculum
- St. Pius X School serving ages 3 - 5 with Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten curriculum
In the year 2017-2018, the program expanded to include childcare offerings at Holy Spirit School and St. Pius X School. We added an "extended day" program to meet the needs of our families.
And, in 2022-2023, we opened our doors at two more locations. With continuous growth in The Nest, we added a nature-based pre-kindergarten program at Lourdes High School, a full-day pre-kindergarten program at St. Francis of Assisi School, and an early preschool (age 2) classroom at Holy Spirit Catholic School.
The Nest prepares our youngest learners to know Jesus is their friend, and in Him, they will find love. As Jesus taught us, "Let the little children come to me!" -Mark 10:14.
Did you know? The Nest at RCS has been voted "Best Preschool" in Rochester in the Post Bulletin's Best of the Best Awards for three consecutive years!
